Bringing along a strategic partnership with Chefski, Shelby joins the team as our Experience Design Director, bringing a rare combination of creative vision and hands-on execution. With a background spanning interior design, retail ownership, and nearly two decades in customer service, she understands something most overlook:

Q: You’ve spent years in design and hospitality. What’s shaped your approach to experience design?
I’ve always been drawn to how spaces make people feel. With a background in interior design and nearly two decades in customer service, I’ve learned that the smallest details can completely shift someone’s experience. It’s not just about how something looks—it’s about how it welcomes you in.
Q: What drew you to Momentum?
The opportunity to create experiences on a larger scale while staying rooted in people. That balance really matters to me. Momentum isn’t just about producing events, it’s about creating something guests can feel the moment they walk in.
Q: How do you define a well-designed experience?
It’s when every detail works together seamlessly. When guests feel welcomed, connected, and genuinely excited to be there. The best experiences don’t just happen. They’re thoughtfully built from the ground up.
Q: What excites you most about this role?
Getting to collaborate with a team that values meaningful, engaging experiences. Together, we bring bigger, more impactful ideas to life. I love taking a vision and turning it into something tangible that people remember long after it’s over.
Q: What’s one thing you love about creating events?
Turning ideas into meaningful experiences where every detail has a purpose.
Q: Outside of work, what inspires you?
Travel. I’m constantly inspired by places that engage all the senses….architecture, food, culture. Those experiences always find their way back into the designs I create.
